What happens in Vegas....

.....Can stay in Vegas cuz it pretty much sucked. I am sad to say I did not have very much fun.
:( I think Las Vegas is too big and it is for people who like to party. I'm more into beauty and nature. I'd really rather go to Yellowstone or even a theme park. But I think Kelley had some fun and that is good. The baby crying the whole time probably didn't help either.... but we walked down a little bit of the strip which was fun and the drive there and back was pretty fun. We saw some of those creepy FLDS church people at a gas station. The woman had that hairdo they do and the men looked inbred in overalls. It was interesting. They had a Utah license plate.

moving! again...

we have been looking for a while and we found a pretty cute house with a fireplace and a huge backyard. we already started moving in. i have put all my etsy projects on hold until next year when we are completely moved in and the baby is a little older. i think we finally found a place we want to stay in. : ) the apartment was fine for me and kelley but with the baby its too small. and i cant even use her bedroom because its upstairs and inconvenient. but this new house is all one story and its open and roomy but still feels cozy...especially with the fireplace. Plus we will be making a little more money with the leftover BAH we get from the military since the rent and utilities dont quite add up to that much. i really like how big the kitchen is and how many cupboards and closets and storage areas there are. i also like that it has two bathrooms, one with a tub, one with a shower. kelley is already creating his mancave in the garage lol....now i just have to find a crafting cave...

http://www.etsy.com/shop/sillybreanna I got the sweetest pink elf hat from her shop and also a beautiful cocoon with a matching hat. I love them and they were such a good price and they were shipped so quickly! I have seen the same hat (except not even as cute) for almost fifty dollars. I will definitely be buying ALL my hats from her shop.

Marine Corps Birthday Ball Gown

I got my gown for the Marine Corps Ball in Las Vegas next weekend. I am soooo excited! It fits perfectly and it is so beautiful...the pictures don't even almost do it justice. Now I just have to find something for Bella. I think I will make her a tu tu dress that matches Kelley's dress blues... or maybe one that matches my dress idk yet. Anyways I got it from this etsy shop called Ferd. She was awesome and shipped it right away. Go check out her shop and see all the beautiful costumes she has created. I think most of them are in her sold items because everyone bought them for Halloween. There is also an adorable Nightmare Before Christmas outfit I REALLY want for Bella. I loooooove that movie so much!!! Anyways there are lots of unique random things in her shop so go check it out there is probably something in there for everyone.

Marcia's Birthday

Kelley's mom's birthday was on the 6th of this month. She hasn't gotten her present yet because I bought it on etsy and it took a while to make since it was custom and handmade... which I am happy about because she didn't even get a card or anything from us. She only got a phone call from Kelley and then suddenly randomly she will recieve this adorable meaningful SURPRISE present. It has a picture of Bella Rose (get it cuz she has a rose in her hair) and her name on the back and then a crystal that is her birthstone, sapphire. It is a perfect gift for a Grandma. I LOVE how it turned out. Plus the shop emailed me like every day with updates on what they were doing and how far along they were in the making of it. I can't wait for her to get it!!!!! The shop was Desert Artisan so go check them out for an adorable necklace! Great customer service! Except you don't even feel like a customer you feel more like you are his best friend!

peacocks

Ever since Bella was born she loved staring at these vintage peacocks I have hanging above the couch. I think because she could kind of see them when she was really little because of the contrast of them to the wall. Also I think she feels safe because I have spent most of my life on the couch with her healing and nursing her and watching movies with Kelley and playing on the computer. So she sees them and recognizes that this is her safe place. Anyways, recently she started smiling at them and now she laughs when she sees them. Kelley said that when he was watching her she was crying and the only thing that would comfort her was if he would hold her up so she could look at the peacocks...and she gooed and talked to them and told them about her bad time. Here is a video of Bella looking at the peacocks and talking to them.

Bella's first Halloween

This was Bella's first Halloween! Of course she doesn't care but I do. I couldn't find any newborn size costumes so I dressed her up in a glow in the dark skeleton onsesie and a tu tu. Idk what she was supposed to be but she looked cute. We had a BBQ (yes it's still warm enough here haha!) and some of our friends came over. It was pretty fun. We handed out candy and ran out because there were like a million people that came here. I think there were so many people because 1. a lot of people live in this subdivision 2. it's military housing so it's safe but it's located off base so anyone can come 3. they don't want to trick or treat at all the crack houses out in town. I went trick or treating with our friends and their kid while Kelley BBQed but I didn't get any candy because I couldn't carry the baby and a candy bag. Lame. I missed being home in Idaho because our family always has lots of fun going trunk or treating and hanging out and stuff but oh well. Ill have to stop wishing I was home and start my own traditions here....
