16 weeks

Well Kelley took this picture last night. I'm at sixteen, almost seventeen , weeks. YAY! I can feel it move sometimes. It's really weird and feels kinda like an alien. But it also gives me cheesy special feelings. One time Kelley put his hand on it while it was squirming a bit and it started jumping around all over the place. *special feelings*......... I have an appointment on the 30th of this month. It's just a checkup or whatever but then the next appointment after that is the ultrasound! So we get to find out pretty soon if it's a boy or girl. I'm pretty excited. Kelley is having like the ultimate sympathy pregnancy thingy. He is always hormonal when I am even if I don't tell him and HE is the one having the crazy "pregnant dreams." He is positive it's going to be a boy. Everyone else is too. They can feel it in their bones. But I guess we will find out soon enough.

Old man speedo of DOOM!

We also encountered some awesome hairy old man jogging bulgey speedo action. Here are some pictures so you can enjoy it as much as we did. :) He jogged by twice...

The beach and candy mountain

Me and Kelley somehow found our way through L.A. after like five hours and went to Santa Monica Beach and Malibu. There are like a million freeways winding and crossing eachother so it was a bit difficult.....woot. It was a gay old time. We also found out that California is VERY pretty on the drive there. The water was pretty cold at first but eventually we couldn't feel it anymore and we ended up swimming out in the waves. It only took a couple hours to get back home. Then we went to this magical place called Foster's Freeze. It puts Roe Anne's to shame. We go on all our dates there and have nicknamed it "candy mountain."

????

In the last post I let you know that Kelley thought my stuffed elephant was an aardvark when he first saw it. What do you think it looks more like? Picture #1 is the stuffed elephant....then comes the aardvark....#3 is the elephant and #4 is an anteater. So which one do you think my poor elephant looks more like? hee hee..... : ) ok maybe I need a life but whatever don't mock my pain.

Sewing

Well I get kinda bored sometimes and I decided to do some sewing...the only problem is that all I have is a bunch of pink fabrics. So everything must be pink. The elephants tail is detachable with Velcro. woot. Kelley thought is was an aardvark (sp?) Nice..... The bib is reversible.

Baby Names

I think me and Kelley finally decided on baby names. If it's a boy we will probably name him Damian Malachi. Kelley picked out that name. If it's a girl we will probably go with Zipporah Rose. Malachi and Zipporah are both bible names. Malachi is a book in the bible and Zipporah was Moses' wife. Zipporah is also my middle name and I was named after an ancestor, Rose Zipporah Butler, who was a pioneer on the Oregon Trail.

Our Desert

So here are some pictures of Joshua Tree National Park. It's really close to our house so this is pretty much how it looks around here. Kind of like if Letha barely survived a nuclear bomb. Anyhow...there are lots of rocks and cactuses and odd tree things and sand everywhere. Nobody has grass. I think the only place that gets hotter than here in the summer is Death Valley. YES!

Our House

So here are a few pictures of our house. Yup.

29 Palms.....

Our house is pretty cute and not too small for this town. The only problem is the evil cockroaches but we don't see them very often. And I suppose there is no escaping them no matter what house we live in here. Even though it is the biggest Marine base it has a very small population. The reason it is so big is because of all the training areas out in the desert. The town outside the base is pretty small... smaller than Emmett. Mostly there are tattoo shops and Marine haircut places. The people that are not Marines or their families are very interesting. It seems like they aren't allowed to live here unless they have a hunchback or a limp. Kelley said they have to sign a special limping contract thing to be able to live here. You would think that the road outside the base would also have strip club after strip club. There is not even ONE within miles and miles of here. You would probably have to go to Palm Springs or something. This is because the only attractive people are married to Marines and the "Desert Yetis" (what they call the native woman) probably couldn't keep one in business. Our neighbors on one side are pretty nice. They are Samoan (sp?) and they just have BBQ's and play their ukalaili and sing. And they saved me when I locked myself out of the house and gave me food. Our other neighbors like to ask for money all the time and they have a million kids. The Samoans say they sell crack and i really think they do. The kids are really cute though and they always ask me for my clothes and shoes and I give them cookies and candy sometimes. They are so skinny... :( poor babies. Anyways. I usually stay in the house unless I am with Kelley cuz last time I walked down the road a guy stopped and whipped out his thingy and asked if I wanted to cheat on my husband today. I said no and then he asked if I just wanted to watch and so I ran off as fast as I could. Gross!

Prego

Well the picture with the smaller prego I was 11 weeks (don't mind the hideous pajamas) and the picture of the bigger prego in the red shirt is 13 weeks. Im now at 15 weeks. woohoo! getting closer.........
