What happens in Vegas....

.....Can stay in Vegas cuz it pretty much sucked. I am sad to say I did not have very much fun.
:( I think Las Vegas is too big and it is for people who like to party. I'm more into beauty and nature. I'd really rather go to Yellowstone or even a theme park. But I think Kelley had some fun and that is good. The baby crying the whole time probably didn't help either.... but we walked down a little bit of the strip which was fun and the drive there and back was pretty fun. We saw some of those creepy FLDS church people at a gas station. The woman had that hairdo they do and the men looked inbred in overalls. It was interesting. They had a Utah license plate.

moving! again...

we have been looking for a while and we found a pretty cute house with a fireplace and a huge backyard. we already started moving in. i have put all my etsy projects on hold until next year when we are completely moved in and the baby is a little older. i think we finally found a place we want to stay in. : ) the apartment was fine for me and kelley but with the baby its too small. and i cant even use her bedroom because its upstairs and inconvenient. but this new house is all one story and its open and roomy but still feels cozy...especially with the fireplace. Plus we will be making a little more money with the leftover BAH we get from the military since the rent and utilities dont quite add up to that much. i really like how big the kitchen is and how many cupboards and closets and storage areas there are. i also like that it has two bathrooms, one with a tub, one with a shower. kelley is already creating his mancave in the garage lol....now i just have to find a crafting cave...

Marine Corps Birthday Ball Gown

I got my gown for the Marine Corps Ball in Las Vegas next weekend. I am soooo excited! It fits perfectly and it is so beautiful...the pictures don't even almost do it justice. Now I just have to find something for Bella. I think I will make her a tu tu dress that matches Kelley's dress blues... or maybe one that matches my dress idk yet. Anyways I got it from this etsy shop called Ferd. She was awesome and shipped it right away. Go check out her shop and see all the beautiful costumes she has created. I think most of them are in her sold items because everyone bought them for Halloween. There is also an adorable Nightmare Before Christmas outfit I REALLY want for Bella. I loooooove that movie so much!!! Anyways there are lots of unique random things in her shop so go check it out there is probably something in there for everyone.

Marcia's Birthday

Kelley's mom's birthday was on the 6th of this month. She hasn't gotten her present yet because I bought it on etsy and it took a while to make since it was custom and handmade... which I am happy about because she didn't even get a card or anything from us. She only got a phone call from Kelley and then suddenly randomly she will recieve this adorable meaningful SURPRISE present. It has a picture of Bella Rose (get it cuz she has a rose in her hair) and her name on the back and then a crystal that is her birthstone, sapphire. It is a perfect gift for a Grandma. I LOVE how it turned out. Plus the shop emailed me like every day with updates on what they were doing and how far along they were in the making of it. I can't wait for her to get it!!!!! The shop was Desert Artisan so go check them out for an adorable necklace! Great customer service! Except you don't even feel like a customer you feel more like you are his best friend!

peacocks

Ever since Bella was born she loved staring at these vintage peacocks I have hanging above the couch. I think because she could kind of see them when she was really little because of the contrast of them to the wall. Also I think she feels safe because I have spent most of my life on the couch with her healing and nursing her and watching movies with Kelley and playing on the computer. So she sees them and recognizes that this is her safe place. Anyways, recently she started smiling at them and now she laughs when she sees them. Kelley said that when he was watching her she was crying and the only thing that would comfort her was if he would hold her up so she could look at the peacocks...and she gooed and talked to them and told them about her bad time. Here is a video of Bella looking at the peacocks and talking to them.

Bella's first Halloween

This was Bella's first Halloween! Of course she doesn't care but I do. I couldn't find any newborn size costumes so I dressed her up in a glow in the dark skeleton onsesie and a tu tu. Idk what she was supposed to be but she looked cute. We had a BBQ (yes it's still warm enough here haha!) and some of our friends came over. It was pretty fun. We handed out candy and ran out because there were like a million people that came here. I think there were so many people because 1. a lot of people live in this subdivision 2. it's military housing so it's safe but it's located off base so anyone can come 3. they don't want to trick or treat at all the crack houses out in town. I went trick or treating with our friends and their kid while Kelley BBQed but I didn't get any candy because I couldn't carry the baby and a candy bag. Lame. I missed being home in Idaho because our family always has lots of fun going trunk or treating and hanging out and stuff but oh well. Ill have to stop wishing I was home and start my own traditions here....

ABORTION

Bella smiling at her 24 week ultrasound

Watch this and tell me you still think it's ok...

If you are pro-life and you don't need to be convinced I wouldn't recommend watching this.
Most people would die for their baby. It is sad that we live in a world where someone would make their baby die for them.

Bella Reflux Baby

Bella got a sore throat and started coughing so I brought her to the doctor. I guess she has reflux and was eating so much to soothe her throat. Her head always has to be elevated and after feeding her she has to sit up for fifteen minutes before I can lay her down. We got a humidifier which seems to help her throat. It just means more work for me and less time to clean and stuff. Oh well Ill just have a messyish house until she is a couple months older and a little more independent. She still doesn't weigh enough for her bouncy seat :( which is lame because it vibrates and she would like that and that would take care of her having to sit up for fifteen minutes. She doesn't like to be bothered while she is sleeping so she doesn't like having to sit on me for fifteen minutes while i pat and rub her back. She does like me patting her back though. It makes her tummy feel good. The vibrating would probably feel good too in the bouncy seat. Oh well... things will get worse and then they will get better. :) Can't wait for the better part when she can be on a schedule. I wish I could put her on a schedule now!!! Oh and here are some cute pictures I took.

Bella

Well I only made it to 38 weeks and 4 days. My mom came down and the day before she had to go home we decided to walk to the park and try to get me to start labor. It worked! They wouldnt let us stay at the hospital until I had been in labor for like ten hours and I was at 5 centimeters. Then they didnt give me an epidural until a couple hours later when I was at 7 centimeters. They refused to break my water to so Bella got really stressed from me being in labor for 22 hours and every time I had a contraction her heartbeat would almost stop. so then I was rushed and only got to push through a few contractions before they decided to pull her out with forceps. We were really worried because the doctors were acting worried and a million people started swarming the room flailing and it got really chaotic. But she came out and they checked her out and an hour later decided she was perfect and let me hold her. I was really happy she was ok. She is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to us. It's not so bad because right now she will eat, sleep 3 hours, eat, poop, sleep half and hour-an hour.............eat, sleep three hours, eat, poop, sleep half an hour- an hour.........so I can get about six hours of sleep a night, three hours at a time, which isn't too bad.

38 weeks

Well so much for being at four centimeters. I thought that meant it was time to have a baby! i guess not... my mom is flying down tomorrow. I hope Bella decides to cooperate and pop out while she is here. The transmission is going out on our car...again. They just rebuilt it a few months ago. It has a two year warranty so I guess they will just have to try again and get it right this time. Anyways that means Kelley has to borrow a car to go pick up my mom at the airport. This guy got a DUI so he isn't allowed to drive his car anyways. But idk what we are gonna do without a car if I go into labor. We have friends that will help us out it's just that I don't want to bug people at like three in the morning or something... oh well. lol.

Last three sales before baby!

These are my last three sales before the baby comes. I put my shop on vacation mode for now. I went to my doctor appointment today and kelley got to come because he got a five day weekend for Labor Day. Well he talked to us a little and asked if I wanted to be checked and I said sure. The doctor was all surprised and said I was already at 3 or 4 centimeters. So he asked if I wanted him to strip the membrane (yuck) to speed things up and I said sure. So I have been having lots of contractions ever since especially when I walk and when Im active. They hurt and are hard to walk and breathe through but not consistent enough to go back to the hospital. Luckily the doctor was a nice small asian guy. I liked him a lot. I hate it when you get the huge lumberjack doctor with giant sausage fingers that lubes up his fingers and bellows," Just let your legs fall open...." Yikes!

New Friends!

I finally got a washer and dryer. They were having a 10% off appliance sale with free delivery and plus we got a military discount on top of all of that. The first time we tried to pay they ran Kelley's card as debit and it got declined because it was over the daily limit of debit spending. They said we had to use a different form of payment. So we tried my card as credit and it got declined because for some reason I'm not allowed to run my card as credit (even though I have been to the bank and they have "fixed it" three times) We didn't have any other form of payment so we left. A couple days later I called the bank, "fixed" my card, and drove back to Home Depot. Left my wallet on the couch at home because I had it out while I was talking to the bank. Next day Kelley got home from training in the field and we went back to Home Depot again. The sale was over but they still let us have them with the sale and free delivery. My "fixed" card got declined as credit. Kelley's was approved and now I have my washer and dryer! I am also switching banks!!!!

36 weeks

Well I'm at 26 weeks now and I'm pretty much ready to get this baby out of me. I was kinda freaked out about popping out a baby but i watched a million videos on youtube and I'm not as worried anymore. Plus it will be totally worth it. Pretty sure almost every woman in the history of the world has done it and the human race seems to be successful in reproducing so I am not too worried anymore. I just hope my mom can be there and I will have Kelley. I have an appointment on Thursday. I havn't had one for about two months so hopefully they can give me some sort of an update on everything. They just finished a little park behind the laundromat on base with little water features like squirting flowers and fountains spraying out of the ground and buckets that fill up and then tip over on little kids faces unexpectedly. Im pretty excited about that.

Update on the stinky patio dog

So a while ago I wrote a blog about the neighbors smelly dog that is trapped on a small patio and neglected and the smell of poo cooking at 110 degrees in the sun comes in through our swamp cooler and my prego nose hates it... and also it's high pitched barking all night keeping me awake. endless barking all day and night because they never take it for walks so it is restless and never tires from barking... it's worse than trying to listen to a puberty boy at church try to give a talk and his voice keeps cracking... well they moved today! so I am pretty happy about that.
And in celebration I will tell a preteen story:
One time we were all sitting at the dinner table and I was trying to be smart. I said something about how dogs have the cleanest saliva in the world and then Chris ruined it by saying ," It's because they eat poop." I suppose he is right. It doesnt matter if their saliva has special bacteria killing powers... if they just ate a pile of cat poo or a cow placenta you still don't want them to lick your face...
